'Fly High': Father Of 3 ID'd As Man Killed In Stamford Motorcycle Crash

A 44-year-old Connecticut man was identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash earlier this week, authorities said.

Heber Lopez, of Stamford in Fairfield County, was killed just after midnight on Thursday, Nov. 7, when his motorcycle hit a fence and tree on Long Ridge Road near Brook Run Lane, authorities said. He died at the scene, police said. 

Multiple people posted he was nearly at his home when he crashed. 

As police investigate what led up to the crash, family and friends have been sharing memorials to Lopez on social media. 

One woman posted on Facebook that she was "crushed" when she learned the news of Lopez's death. 

All I can say is may you find the peace that soul always wanted and needed. Out last conversation on Tuesday will forever be imprinted in my soul. Thank you for the last goodbye and last hug. Fly high my loco vato chicano. A prayer for your family and you boys. Until the meet again may the lord received with arms wide open.

Others noted that his spirit lives on in his three sons. 

Funeral arraignments were not immediately available.
